Within the trucking sector alone, which includes long periods of inactivity followed by brief intense activity, musculoskeletal strains and sprains are very prevalent. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, truck drivers experienced 36,800 MSD's in 2002 with a median of 12 days away from work. In order for these employees to safely complete each delivery, whether it be passenger or package, their bodies must be prepared.
